On the 8th and 9th of November, the conference Learning and Implementing Social Innovation took place in Coimbra, Portugal, to discuss smart healthy age-friendly environments as well as social innovation.
This conference was co-organised by the Nursing School of Coimbra, SHINE 2Europe, AFEdemy and NET4Age-Friendly and aimed to advance the knowledge and visibility of existing approaches, projects and best practices related to social innovation and to connect different stakeholders in this field.
Jana Eckert from ISIS Institut für Soziale Infrastruktur presented the project “Culture on Prescription”. The presentation was part of a series of lectures on the implementation of SHAFE (smart healthy age-friendly environments) practices.
In addition to the interesting presentations, workshops and face-to-face meetings during the two days of the conference provided the opportunity to learn about and discuss exciting projects.
